Hace exactamente mes y medio hice lo que se supone que se debe hacer: renuncié a mi trabajo por tiempo completo y me he quedado como agente libre. Desde entonces he tenido un excelente mes de vacaciones, he comido delicioso, visitado varias veces la playa, etc., quienes me siguen en mi cuenta de Instagram han podido vivir conmigo esos momentos.
Este mes de mayo se que vienen nuevas cosas y estoy sumamente ansiosa, esperando que este cambio traiga consigo experiencias únicas que poder disfrutar. De hecho, ya tengo nuevo trabajo :)

¿Qué me cuentan de su fin de semana? El mío estuvo bastante tranquilo y hasta largo, me atrevo a decir.

El domingo a medio día fui a almorzar con mi papá y uno de mis hermanos al restaurante llamado "Casas viejas". Era la primera vez que iba y desde hace tiempo tenía ganas de probar su menú.

Hacienda Casas Viejas ofrece platillos típicos hondureños: lechones, sopas, asados, pescados y tacos, entre otros. Los precios oscilas entre los $10-$20 (platillos personales y parrilladas).

Exploring Honduras - San Pedro Sula edition

No hay excusa al decir que en San Pedro Sula no hay actividades por hacer o lugares que conocer. Muchas veces como ciudadanos, desestimamos lo que tenemos y no le damos el valor que ciertos sitios tienen y que ironicamente muchos extranjeros si.

Mas que el "no se que hacer hoy", el factor monetario muchas veces es el que mas peso tiene. Sin embargo, muchas actividades turisticas se puden programar entre amistades y asi compartir gastos. El turismo interno en Honduras no tiene elevados precios en comparacion con otros paises, para que se hagan una idea el gasto promedio del turista en Honduras es de $60 (considerando estadia en hotel, alimentacion, transporte, servicios deportivos y otros).

Dentro de la oferta hotelera en SPS, me encantan los hoteles con pocas habitaciones ya que los considero mas acogedores y con un servicio al cliente mas personal, casi como si estuvieras en casa.

¿QUE VISITAR  /  WHAT TO VISIT?

    Hay una buena cantidad de sitios desde museos (Mi Pequeño Sula, Museo de Antropologia e Historia, Museo de la Naturaleza, Museo Daisy Fasquelle), teatros (Jose Francisco Saybe, Circulo Teatral Sampedrano), mercados (Guamilito y Plaza Tipica, siendo los mas turisticos), Biblioteca Nacional, Bulevar La Esperanza (ejercicio al aire libre), caminata en El Merendon, canopy, parques actuaticos, estadios, parques, centros comerciales y bares.

Sumado a estos lugares, San Pedro Sula se caracteriza por ser el sitio de salida hacia diversos atarctivos turisticos que se encuentran alrededor de la ciudad. Dentro de ellos se encuentran el Lago de Yojoa, Parque Nacional Cusuco (a solo 15 minutos de la ciudad), playas, quebradas, rios, etc.

Mientras en NYFW tiemblan del frío, en la costa norte de Honduras el calor se asoma diciéndonos que Semana Santa será pronto. Yo que trabajo en el negocio turístico he podido ver que los hoteles ya se están llenando y sé también que muchos ya tienen pensado a qué destino se movilizarán.

Visita Valle de Ángeles ~ Visit Valle de Ángeles

Me encanta la arquitectura colonial que hay en los pueblos de Honduras. Recuerdo que, cuando era muy pequeña, mi papá solía hacer viajes de carretera y fué así como tuve la oportunidad de visitar muchos sitios hermosos de mi país.

Entre las cosas que me gustan de los pueblos están la calidad del trato de las personas, la comida (por supuesto), ver las casas con tejas (fuente de inspiración para mi casa soñada), el clima y el paisaje pintoresco.

Hace más de un año pude ir con mis compañeros de la universidad a Valle de Ángeles y, aunque no pudimos visitar el pueblo, con tan solo respirar el aire que brindan los pinos me bastó para remontarme hacia aquellos años cuando pasaba el fin de semana, junto con mis hermanos, mi padre y sus amigos, tomando café y disfrutando del clima de Valle de Ángeles.

Me encantaría poder regresar y disfrutar caminando por las calles del pueblo, tomar fotografías con café en mi otra mano, comprar artesanías y ver todas las opciones de accesorios hechos con cuero hondureño.

I love the colonial architecture from the towns in Honduras, I remember, since I was a little girl, my dad used to do road trips & i that's how i was able to visit many beautiful places of my country.

Among the things a like about towns are people's treatment, gastronomy,  tiled houses (source of inspiration for my dream house), weather & the picturesque views.

A year ago I went to Valle de Ángeles with my college friends although we couldn't visit the town, with just breathing the air from the pines provide me enough to remember those years when my brothers, my dad, his friends & I spent the weekend drinking coffee, eating a lot & enjoying the weather of Valle de Ángeles.

I'd love to go again (soon) & enjoy walking the streets, taking pictures with coffee on my other hand, buy crafts & see all the honduran- leather- accessory options

Cuando visité por última vez Valle de Ángeles, almorcé en el Restaurante Turístico quienes ofrecen gastronomía típica como pollo asado, churrascos, pinchos y todo lo que pueda ser cocinado en un fogón.

Last time I visited Valle de Ángeles I had lunh at the Restaurante Turístico. They offer typical food like roast chicken, steakes & kebabs. Pretty much anything that can be cook in an oven.

Visita Copán ~ Visit Copán

¡Feliz viernes! En lo personal, esta semana para mí paso lentísima y me alegra muchísimo que el fin de semana por fin haya llegado.

Como parte de los cambios en mi blog todos los viernes les traeré una propuesta de viaje para que su fin de semana no sea aburrido y que conozcan (o visiten de nuevo en el caso de mis paisanos) a mi país y los buenos lugares que tenemos para disfrutar.

Dentro de los sitios que me encantan se encuentra el Departamento de Copán, ya sea Santa Rosa de Copán (un pueblo hermoso y tranquilo) o  Copán Ruinas (cuna de la civilización Maya). Conozcamos que opciones nos traen estas ciudades.

Happy Friday! Personally, this week went very slow for me & I’m delighted that the weekend has finally arrived.

As part of the changes on my blog every Friday I’ll bring a trip proposal, this way your weekend shouldn’t be boring & will let you know (or make you visit again in the case of  Hondurans) my country & the good places we can enjoy.

Among the places that I love there’s the Department of Copan, either Santa Rosa (a beautiful quiet village) or Copán Ruinas (cradle of Maya civilization). Let me show you the options these cities brings.

Uno de los sitios más emblemáticas de nuestro país sin duda alguna es Copán Ruinas, en donde la civilización Maya se asentó y nos dejó sus obras. Este sitio arqueológico es visitado a lo largo del año por una cantidad impresionante de extranjeros que disfrutan conocer ésta cultura, estudiarla y vivir una experiencia originada por la sabiduría de esta civilización que a lo largo del tiempo nos ha ido maravillando.

One of the most emblematic places of my country is certainly Copán Ruinas, where the Mayan civilzation settled. This archaeological place is visited throughout the year by an impressive number of foreigners who enjoy knowing about the culture, studying it & experience the wisdom of this civilization that makes us delight.

For Honduras, the past days has been crazy. 

Political troubles had occurred & we also have problems with the national police, it seems that day by day more divisions occur in the population. We also have  people fighting for their rights, the sums of money paid for the use of electricity are high, rains have caused damage & this government hasn't been what we all expected.

I consider myself as a positive person, a dreamer, someone who has the best interest for my BEAUTIFUL country, yes i said beautiful. And it makes me sad hearing (from citizens) that my country "no tiene arreglo" (has no fix) & we have nothing to be proud of.

I'm a lucky Honduran, i'm growing up at San Pedro Sula (the second important city of the country) & day by day i see how many citizens work their ass off to bring food, medicines and cloth to their beloved ones.

I've had received visitors on my blog from Turkey, Russia, USA, Canada, Egypt, Ecuador, Argentina, Mexico, Guatemala, Italy, France & too many others i can't remember right now. So, to all of you whether you are or not from Honduras, let me tell you we are poor, yes.. governments have stolen so much to the Estate. We are poor, BUT kind, helpful, workers, creatives & the best of my territory is THE INSANE AMOUNT OF BEAUTIFUL PLACES WE HAVE!

We are a country who "has it all": white sand beaches, archaeology, mountains, reserves, lakes, waterfalls & many more natural attractions. Let me show you part of them: 

1. Cayos Cochinos: are a group of two small islands (Cayo Menor and Cayo Mayor) and 13 small coral cays lying 19 miles northeast of La Ceiba on the northern Honduran coast.

I've been here & it's paradise, believe me.

2. Copán Ruinas: The Mayan city of Copan was a ceremonial center of government and the ancient Mayan civilization. Currently, Copan is an archaeological site located in the Department of Copán in western Honduras, near the border with Guatemala.

3. San Pedro Sula: known as the country's industrial capital. My lovely city it's located it the northwest of the country in the Sula Valley. We have one of the important  airports call "Ramón Villeda Morales".

"El Centro", where we have important avenues and streets. Major commercial movements occur here. In front of the park there's  the "Hotel Sula" & the Cathedral.

4. Lancetilla Botanical Garden:   located a few kilometers from Tela, is the second largest tropical botanical garden IN THE WORLD!

5. Pico Bonito National Park: located at the North of my country near La Ceiba, is the second largest national park in the country, the vegetation commences with tropical rain forest and broad leaf forests. It is famous for the largest peak of the "Nombre de Dios" mountain range; Pico Bonito itself is 2436 meters high.

6. Punta Sal: located near Tela, its name from the rocky point that juts out into the sea. It has approximately 35 linear miles of beach and close to 20 miles wide, covers793,818 km2 territorial

7. Islas de la Bahía (Bay Islands):  The top destination of my country, they are an archipelago consisting of three main islands and smaller ones in the Caribbean Sea: Roatán, Guanaja and Utila. They are surrounded by crystal clear waters, also in shades of blue, which is very common to see turquoise waters. The islands attract millions of tourists every year. Among the celebrities who are known to have been one of the islands are: Tiger Woods, Jaclyn Smith, Richard Gere, Michael Douglas & Catherine Zeta-Jones.
