Helmut Newton

Dentro del mundo de la moda existieron y existen grandes mentes creativas que han sido capaces, a través del tiempo, de crear momentos, editoriales, colecciones, iconos, fotografías e incluso carreras de modelos de renombre. Todo esto nace de la necesidad del ser humano de poder expresarse mediante el arte y todo lo que a ésto rodea.
Muchos podrán decir que la moda representa algo superficial y (tal vez) pasajero, sin embargo hay personas que han quedado en la historia gracias al trabajo inigualable que realizaron, este es el caso de fotógrafo de moda alemán Helmut Newton.

In fashion world existed & exists great creative minds that have been able over time to create moments, editorials, collections, icons, photographs and even reputable modeling careers. All this arises from the human need to express themselves through art and everything that surrounds this.
Many people may say that fashion is something superficial and (maybe) temporary, yet there's people that have become history thanks to their unique work. This is the case of German fashion photographer Helmut Newton.

Helmut utilizaba la cámara Polaroid como un cuaderno de apuntes que servía para crear un borrador de lo que luego desearía retratar. Este fotógrafo fue conocido por ir más allá de los límites, el erotismo era su propuesta pero sin olvidar la elegancia, cada mujer que era retratada por él era  alta y bella. Sus fotografías solían ser en blanco y negro y trabajó para diseñadores como YSL y Thierry Mugler sin olvidar sus colaboraciones con Vogue, Vanity Fair y hasta Playboy.

Su trabajo constantemente se presente en museos alrededor del mundo con la ayuda de su viuda.

Helmut used Polaroids as a "notebook" to create drafts of what later he would portray. This photographer was known for going beyond the limits, eroticism was his proposal but without forgetting the elegance, every woman who was portrayed by him was tall and beautiful. His photographs were often in black and white and worked for designers such as YSL and Thierry Mugler without forgetting his collaborations with Vogue, Vanity Fair and even Playboy.

His work is constantly present in museums around the world with the help of his widow.

Sueña y actúa en grande, así es como día a día deberíamos hacer. Para triunfar en la industria que sea es necesario poner toda tu energía en aquellas metas que te haz planteado.

Anteriormente ya les había comentado sobre mi fascinación con Carlos Campos (diseñador hondureño), ahora les presento a Miguel Enamorado quien es nada más y nada menos que: Fashion Director de Interview Magazine. Si, leyeron bien, Interview Magazine.

Jamás imaginé que dentro de una de las revistas con las que más me identifico por sus editoriales y diseño gráfico único, estaría un hondureño. Y lo digo porque aún en Honduras expresarte a través de la moda sigue siendo un tabú y realmente aquellos que se han atrevido a desarrollar sus destrezas fashionistas, son quienes han triunfado.

Cuando su madre trabajaba, como hobby, en la realización de prendas, Miguel admiraba como iban tomando forma y fue así como supo que su vida tendría que estar relacionada a la moda.

Previously I had told you about my fascination with Carlos Campos (Honduran designer), now let me introduce you to Miguel Enamorado who is nothing more and nothing less than: Interview Magazine Fashion Director. Yes, you read it right, Interview Magazine.
I never imagined that within a magazine with which I identify more for its unique editorial and graphic design would be a Honduran. And that's because in Honduras expressing yourself through fashion is still taboo and really those who have dared to develop their fashionistas skills are those who have succeeded.

When his mother worked as a hobby making clothes, Miguel admired how all the elements took shape and that's how he knew his life would have to be related to fashion.

Los trabajos de Miguel E., incluyen Teen Vogue (estilista), Esquire & Fashion Market Director en Interview en donde escribió diversos artículos entre ellos una de mis entrevistas favoritas con Briant Atwood, asistencia a las Fashion Weeks de New York & Milán. También ha trabajado con una gran variedad de fotógrafos renombrados como Robbie Fimmano, Sebastian Mader, Christian Ferretti, Gregory Harris, Santiago Sierra & Mauricio Sierra y Sebastian Mader.

En lo personal esta es una nueva razón por la cual pasaré más pendiente de Interview.

Lunes, lunes, lunes, ¿cuánto(as) de ustedes la semana pasada dijeron: "El lunes comienzo la dieta", "el lunes hago ejercicio"? Confieso que he dicho eso ¡jajaja!
Muchas veces simplemente se trata de aceptar quién sos, qué queres, cómo queres ser. Otras veces no hay tratamiento de belleza, ropa, zapatos o accesorios que te hagan sentir como realmente quisieras sentirte.
